HOMERecycling of spent Sodium Aluminate

Recycling of spent Sodium Aluminate

solutions-showcase-sodim-aluminate-recycling-picThe objective of this project was to evaluate the feasibility of using spent Sodium Aluminate to generate liquid products via various process options. Alum (Aluminum Sulphate) is used in the water treatment industry to help with precipitation and purification of drinking water and some waste water streams. In this project the goal was to evaluate if spent Sodium Aluminate solution could be applied in the similar water treatment applications.

Project objectives:

  • Evaluation of multiple processing options
  • Technical and economic feasibility study
  • Cost estimation
  • Recycling process design
